According to the Hindu Mythology, the Lord Ganesha, or chaturbhuja or Gajaanana, there are endless names, is considered to be the god of knowledge and wisdom. He is alko well-known by the name Vighnaraja, meaining, the god who protects us from the obstacles.

Before starting up any work or business or buying / starting any machine or tool (Aayudham), one has to pray the Lord Ganesha, so that He protects us from all the obstacles that come our way.
